Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to common questions about chiropractic care, appointments, and what to expect.

Is chiropractic safe?

Faq-safe

Chiropractic care is considered a conservative management approach and is safe for most people and conditions. After an assessment that considers your medical history and presenting concerns, care may include manual hands-on treatment such as adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue release, rehabilitation exercises, home care advice including heat and cold, natural supplements, or referral to another provider if needed.

What should I wear to my appointment?

faq-wear

Loose or athletic clothing is preferred for your chiropractic assessment and subsequent appointments. It is important to be able to visualize the area of concern and assess range of motion, which may include specialized orthopaedic testing. For knee, ankle, or hip concerns, please bring shorts or you may be asked to change into a gown at the clinic. For shoulder concerns, a tank top or T-shirt is recommended.

Do I need a referral?

faq-referral

No referral is required. Most extended health plans provide chiropractic coverage.

How many visits will I need?

faq-visits

Care frequency depends on your condition and goals. Minor concerns may resolve within a few visits, while more complex or long-standing injuries may require a structured plan over several months.

Do you offer direct billing?

faq-billing

Yes. Both clinic locations offer direct billing to a variety of extended health providers, including ICBC claims. If you do not have extended health coverage, you may be eligible for MSP benefits.
